Guests then explore the famed Alishan region, experiencing its ancient forests, mountain vistas, and the charming Alishan Park Train before continuing to historic Chiayi. The adventure moves south to Tainan and Kaohsiung, where colonial-era forts, cultural shrines, artistic districts, and lively night markets showcase Taiwan’s rich heritage and modern creativity. The journey concludes with a visit to the traditional town of Lukang before returning to Taipei for a relaxing final day prior to departure.

  • Day 1: Arrival - Taipei

    Upon arrival at Taoyuan International Airport, meet your English-speaking guide and private driver for a transfer to your hotel. After check-in, enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure to rest or explore Taipei’s lively streets. You may take a stroll through Ximending, known for its trendy shops, street performances, and diverse dining options.

  • Day 2: Taipei City Highlights (B)

    Meet your guide at the hotel lobby for a full-day exploration of Taiwan’s dynamic capital. Begin with a visit to Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall, a grand monument dedicated to the former president, then continue to the National Palace Museum, home to one of the world’s largest collections of Chinese imperial treasures. Visit Longshan Temple, Taipei’s oldest Buddhist temple, before ascending the Taipei 101 Observatory for sweeping views of the city skyline. End the day browsing local delicacies at Raohe Night Market.

  • Day 3: Taipei to Sun Moon Lake (B)

    After breakfast, depart for Sun Moon Lake, Taiwan’s most scenic alpine lake. Upon arrival, visit Wenwu Temple, Holy Monk Shrine, and Ci En Pagoda, each offering cultural insights and picturesque views. In the afternoon, enjoy a leisurely lake cruise to admire the mountain reflections that inspired the lake’s poetic name.

  • Day 4: Sun Moon Lake Alishan to Chiayi (B)

    After breakfast, drive to Alishan, famous for its “Sea of Clouds,” sacred trees, and mountain scenery. Explore the Alishan National Forest Recreation Area with its serene forests and scenic trails. Take a ride on the Alishan Park Train, the small shuttle train within the park. After tour, continue to Chiayi for overnight stay.

    Journey south to Tainan, Taiwan’s oldest city and the cradle of its culture. Stroll through Shennong Street, lined with restored shophouses, cafes, and artisan stores.

  • Day 6: Tainan to Kaohsiung (B)

    Continue to Kaohsiung, Taiwan’s bustling southern port city. Visit Fo Guang Shan Monastery, one of Asia’s largest Buddhist complexes, featuring towering Buddha statues and peaceful courtyards. Later, explore Pier-2 Art Center, a creative hub filled with murals and sculptures, and unwind with a scenic walk along Love River. In the evening, sample street food delights at Liuhe Night Market.

  • Day 7: Kaohsiung to Lukang to Taipei (B)

    After breakfast, depart Kaohsiung and drive to Lukang, a historic town known for its well-preserved temples and traditional streets. Visit Lukang Old Street, where you can stroll among quaint shops and local snacks. Explore Longshan Temple, one of Taiwan’s oldest and most famous temples, and Tianhou Temple, dedicated to the sea goddess Mazu. After tour, continue the drive back to Taipei for your overnight stay.
