Overnight in Phnom Penh
Embark on a scenic overland journey to Battambang, a province renowned for its picturesque rice fields and orchards. En route, savor a delectable lunch at a Smiling Gecko Farm House, a sustainable cluster project that provides accommodation for guests in spacious bungalows surrounded by rice-fields.
After lunch, embark on a two hours farm tour, The Smiling Gecko Project not only runs the sustainable luxury Farmhouse Resort, but also supports a bilingual school and kindergarten, as well as various craft workshops, in which disadvantaged young adults from all parts of Cambodia are trained. Another focus is on agriculture and animal husbandry. Most of the meat and fish, as well as the organic fruits and vegetables produced here are used in the resort’s restaurants.
Upon arrival in Battambang, delve into its rich history with a visit to Sompov Hill, home to the haunting Killing Caves, a sobering reminder of Cambodia's turbulent past. Stay until sunset to witness the mesmerizing sight of bats emerging from the caves. Conclude the day with a transfer back to your hotel, where dinner arrangements are at your leisure.

Discover rural life with a morning village tour by Remork (local Tuk-Tuk). Accompanied by your guide, explore Battambang's idyllic countryside. After lunch we will take you to the "Bamboo Train", a simple construction with bamboo sticks as a base - a unique experience! In recent years, this type of train could still be driven across Cambodia. Now, this experience is only possible on an 8km stretch in Battambang and rumor has it that the government can close this last little piece of unique transportation at any time.
The town is famous for its French colonial architecture and fertile soil. Take a short stroll through town to see various art galleries and old colonial buildings. Your local guide will explain some important facts of each of them. Depending on the time, we suggest you visit Kinyei café for a tasty local coffee run by a social enterprise.
During the walk, you can also visit a local market. This local market is very popular with the locals for dinner. Then, we will take you to Miss Wong’s Bar for a pre- dinner cocktail, and relax in this venue’s beautiful atmosphere. Afterward transfer back to the hotel. Dinner will be on your own.

Journey onward to Siem Reap, with scenic stops along the way to discover local delicacies and culinary traditions. In the evening, enjoy a tasty dinner with Apsara Dances Performance.

Khmer noodles is a Cambodian rice noodle, which is known as Num Banh Chok in Khmer, and it’s often known as “Khmer noodle” and then walking through the local night market (60 roads), where you can try some bugs, enjoy shops and arrays of vendors selling clothes, street food, and fruit. Third stop is getting dinner at the local restaurant where you can choose your own dishes. At the last stop, you will visit Asana Bar is a laidback drinking spot with a wonderful location in one of the small side allies of the Pub Street.
