Saigon Essentials

  • Day 1: Arrival in Saigon – Cu Chi Tunnels

    Upon arrival, drive to the famous Cu Chi Tunnels to explore Vietnam’s courageous past. These tunnels, part of the Vietnam-American War battleground, stretch over 200 km at Ben Duoc, 75 km from Ho Chi Minh City. Walk through a short section of this underground village to see the ingenuity of local people who lived and fought here. The site offers insight into wartime life, from hidden kitchens to living quarters, and showcases the clever traps and secret passages used by locals.

  • Day 2: Saigon – Mekong Delta (B,L,D)

    After breakfast, travel to the Mekong Delta and board a public boat to visit the Cai Be Floating Market, a lively hub where wholesalers trade fruits and vegetables. Explore small canals and river islands, visiting fruit orchards and local cottage industries. Experience traditional life along the Mekong before returning to Vinh Long and driving back to Saigon.

  • Day 3: Saigon – Da Nang – Hoi An (B)

    Start with a half-day city tour of Ho Chi Minh City. Visit the War Remnants Museum, Reunification Palace, Notre Dame Cathedral, Central Post Office, Opera House, and City Hall. Enjoy shopping around Dong Khoi Street and Ben Thanh Market. Transfer to the airport for your flight to Da Nang, then continue to Hoi An.

  • Day 4: Hoi An (B)

    Explore Hoi An’s UNESCO World Heritage old town. Start at the Culture and History Museum, stroll through the Market, visit the Chinese Assembly Hall, and see the Japanese Covered Bridge. Discover a historic old house before boarding a boat to visit Cam Kim carpentry village and Thanh Ha pottery village. Return to Hoi An for the evening.

  • Day 5: Hoi An – Hue (B,L,D)

    Transfer to Hue, stopping at the Cham Museum in Da Nang to see over 300 Cham artifacts. Enjoy the scenic Hai Van Pass en route. In Hue, take a boat ride on the Perfume River to visit Thien Mu Pagoda, then continue to the Tomb of Emperor Minh Mang, an exquisite example of royal architecture.

  • Day 6: Hue – Hanoi (B)

    Morning half-day city tour in Hue: visit the Tomb of Tu Duc and the Old Imperial Citadel with the Forbidden Purple City. Afterward, transfer to the airport for your flight to Hanoi. Arrive and check in at your hotel.

  • Day 7: Hanoi – Halong Bay (B,L,D)

    Drive to Halong Bay, a UNESCO World Natural Heritage site with 2,000 islets rising from emerald waters. Embark on a 2-day cruise to enjoy the bay’s tranquility and stunning scenery.

  • Day 8: Dalat to Phan Thiet – Palaces and Lakes (B)

    Continue cruising through Halong Bay, then disembark late morning. Transfer back to Hanoi and check in at your hotel.

    Half-day city tour of Hanoi. Visit the Ho Chi Minh Complex (outside), One Pillar Pagoda, Temple of Literature, and the Old Quarter. Enjoy shopping and mingling with locals before transferring to the airport for departure.
