  • Day 1: Vientiane - Arrival

    Arrive in Vientiane, one of Asia’s smallest capitals, and transfer to your hotel. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure, allowing you to relax and soak in the tranquil atmosphere of this charming city.

  • Day 2: Vientiane - City tour (B)

    Explore the highlights of Vientiane, starting with Wat Sisaket, the city’s oldest temple, adorned with countless Buddha statues. Next, visit Wat Prakeo, once home to the revered Jade Buddha, before continuing to the Victory Monument, Phatuxay, which evokes the grandeur of Paris’ Arc de Triomphe. Make your way to the magnificent gold-covered stupa of That Luang, a national symbol of Laos. In the afternoon, head to Buddha Park (Xieng Khuan) on the outskirts of the city. Wander through this expansive park, home to over 200 Buddhist and Hindu statues, including oversized concrete sculptures that create a striking contrast to the peaceful setting along the Mekong River. Return to Vientiane and visit the Ong Teu Temple. If time permits, stop by Talat Sao, a local market where you can shop for beautiful handmade handicrafts.

  • Day 3: Vientiane - Luang Prabang (B)

    In the morning, take the express train (approximately 2 hours) to Luang Prabang, then transfer to your hotel. We begin with a visit to the bustling vegetable market and the former Royal Palace, now the National Museum, both located in the UNESCO-listed old town of Luang Prabang. This well-preserved city center is a serene blend of parks, gardens, and historic landmarks, including Wat Xieng Thong, considered one of Laos’ most stunning temples due to its location and intricate architecture. Next, explore the impressive Wat Visun and Wat Aham, two of the city’s other magnificent temples. In the late afternoon, climb Phusi Hill to enjoy panoramic views of the city and the surrounding landscape, and experience a stunning sunset over the Mekong River. Don’t miss the vibrant night market, where you can browse an exceptional selection of handmade textiles.

  • Day 4: Pak Ou Caves & Kuang Si Waterfall (B)

    Enjoy a serene boat ride along the Mekong River, soaking in the breathtaking scenery as you head towards the Pak Ou Caves. Accessible by a stone staircase, these caves house thousands of Buddha statues, creating a mystical ambiance as the soft sunlight filters in. On the way back, stop by Ban Xanghai, a village known for its traditional rice liquor distillation, and then visit Ban Xang Khong and Ban Xienglek, where you can explore villages famous for their handmade paper. In the afternoon, visit the renowned Kuang Si Waterfall, where you can enjoy a refreshing swim in the clear pools or explore the surrounding forest. End your day with a visit to the butterfly park, just a short 45-minute drive from the falls, and enjoy a peaceful walk through the lush surroundings.

  • Day 5: Luang Prabang - Tak Bat & Ock Pop Tok - Departure (B)

    Wake up early for the traditional ‘Tak Bat’ ceremony, where you can witness monks receiving alms in a serene and spiritual experience that offers deep insight into the local culture. After breakfast, enjoy some free time at the hotel before check-out. Later, visit Ock Pop Tok, a vibrant center dedicated to Laotian textile arts. Discover the fascinating process of traditional weaving and admire the intricate craftsmanship that goes into every piece. From the center’s treehouses, enjoy stunning views of the Mekong River and the surrounding lush gardens. Finally, transfer to the airport for your departure.
