Day 1: Arrival in Hanoi
Meet your guide upon arrival at Hanoi Airport and transfer to your hotel for check-in (early check-in not included). The remainder of the day is free at leisure to relax or explore independently.
Overnight in HanoiDay 2: Timeless Hanoi City Exploration & Overnight Train (B)
After breakfast, enjoy a full-day tour of Hanoi, blending Vietnamese heritage with French colonial charm. Visit Ngoc Son Temple, Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum (subject to opening), One-Pillar Pagoda, Museum of Ethnology, Temple of Literature, and the Old Quarter with a one-hour cyclo ride. In the evening, transfer to the station for the overnight train to Lao Cai (shared 4-berth cabin).
Overnight on TrainDay 3: Mountain Scenery & Cultural Encounters in Sapa (B,L)
Arrive early in Lao Cai and enjoy breakfast before traveling to Sapa. Stop at Silver Waterfall, visit a local tea farm, and admire panoramic views from Heaven’s Gate. Check in and enjoy free time in Sapa.
Overnight in SapaDay 4: Sapa Trekking Villages & Return Train to Hanoi (B)
Visit Sapa Market before trekking through Cat Cat, Y Linh Ho, Lao Chai, and Tavan villages. Walk past waterfalls, rice terraces, and ethnic minority communities. Return to Lao Cai for the overnight train to Hanoi.
Overnight on TrainDay 5: Halong Bay Cruise Adventure Begins (B,L,D)
Arrive in Hanoi early for breakfast, then transfer to Halong Bay. Board a traditional junk cruise and sail among limestone karsts and emerald waters.
Overnight on Board Halong Bay (Cruise)Day 6: Halong Bay to Ninh Binh – Nature & Ancient Capital (B, Brunch)
Continue cruising before disembarking late morning. Travel to Ninh Binh, visit Hoa Lu Ancient Capital, and enjoy a peaceful boat ride through Trang An Grottoes.
Overnight in Ninh BinhDay 7: Jungle Discovery at Cuc Phuong National Park (B)
Visit Cuc Phuong National Park, including the Endangered Primate Rescue Center and a prehistoric cave. Enjoy a jungle trek to the 1,000-year-old tree before returning to Hanoi.
Overnight in HanoiDay 8: Departure (B)
Transfer to the airport for your onward journey.
